Dharmshila cancer hospital offers subsidy for JK patients

Jammu, Mar 27: Dharamshila Hospital and Research Centre (Delhi), Indian’s first and only NABH accredited cancer hospital, is offering special discount and subsidized treatment to the patients from J&K belonging to low income group. The centre offers a guest house facility at highly subsidized rates for patients and their attendants, requiring radiation and chemotherapy in outdoor and day-care centre, Dr S Khanna Executive Director of the hospital said in a CME programme organized here on Saturday. Dr Khanna said that the hospital has state of art technology for early diagnosis, cancer surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, rehabilitation, palliative and supportive care. She said that centre is evaluated by a team of surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, gyne oncologist, oncopathologists, radiologists, imaging specialists and other concerned allied specialists to chart out a custom made treatment plan as per patient’s need. She solicited help of medical fraternity of Jammu in improving the cure rates by early detection and early referral of cancer patients. Prominent doctors who spoke on the occasion included Dr Ramesh Dawar, Dr Mudit Agarwal, Dr Neetu Singhal, and Dr Meenu Walia.
