Stay away from smoking: Div Com to students

Srinagar, Mar 27: Describing smoking a “sweet poison and a major cause for fatal diseases”, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Naseema Lankar Saturday asked the student community to stay away from such activities.
While inaugurating an awareness programme on Hazardous Effects of Smoking at Biscoe High School in the City centre organized by Voluntary Health Organization (VHO), Naseema directed the Drug Controller Authorities to enforce the ban on cigarette smoking at public places, colleges, health institutions and schools etc.
She Lankar appealed the youth to even keep away their parents away from smoking.
