Wamiq’s killing Family seeks Court directions

Srinagar, Mar 27: The family of 14-year-old Wamiq Farooq, who was killed after police fired tear smoke shell on his head, on Saturday approached a Court seeking directions to police to register an FIR against the police officials.
Wamik Farooq died on January 31, this year after he was hit by tear smoke shell fired by police when he was coming out of a playground in Rajouri Kadal.
His father Farooq Ahmad Wani filed a complaint before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar seeking directions to police to register an FIR against assistant sub-inspector Abdul Khaliq, and constable Muhammad Akram for offences under section 302 RPC.
