Rs 700 cr ACP for Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 2: The next year Action Credit Plan for district Srinagar would be of the order of Rs 727.60 crore benefitting 26864 units. This, according to an official statement, was stated at District Consultative Committee meeting presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar. The meeting was told that an amount of Rs. 9.66 crore would be provided to 377 units under agriculture and allied activities sectors, while 213.84 crore would be advanced to 13302 units under other priority sectors. Reviewing the last year’s performance, the meeting was informed that loanees to the tune of Rs. 541.52 crore have been advanced to 25465 units under priority and non-priority sectors till December 2009 thereby registering achievement of 85 percent in financial terms. The ADDC urged upon the bankers and sponsoring agencies to provide loan to the beneficiaries without any red tapism and make simple and hassle free procedures.
