1-day program on biogas held

Srinagar, Mar 29: A one-day training camp on installation and selection of suitable model of “BIOGAS PLANT” was held today at Shalimar Campus of SKUAST.
 Prof. Anwar Alam Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-K was the chief guest on the occasion. He stressed the need for use of biogas. He said bio-gas is an eco-friendly gas and its use could help conserve the ecosystem.
 He said biogas plants could also be very useful for boosting of agricultural production and productivity. “Biogas provides cheap fuel and high quality fertilizer,” he said.
