GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Mar 29: The Crime Branch Kashmir has presented chargesheet in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Bandipora against two persons accused of making fraudulent appointment in the forest department.
According to CB statement, it had received a complaint from Principal Chief Conservator of Forests regarding the fraudulent appointment of Muhammad Afzal Sheikh as forest guard in the department.
Subsequently, the Crime Branch registered a case and lodged an FIR against Muhammad Ramzan Mir of Ajas and Muhammad Afzal Sheikh of Koil Muqam in Bandipora.
Officials in the forest department said that during investigation it was found that Afzal managed his appointment as forest guard in forest division Bandipora with a order letter dated October 29, 1983 which actually was an order pertaining to transfer of two range officers.
“The fraud appointment was managed by Muhammad Ramzan Mir who was working as in-charge in the Establishment Section in Bandipora office,” the officials added.
They said Ramzan allowed the accused beneficiary Afzal to join the department thereby putting the state exchequer to loss.
