Surya Roshni investing Rs 500 cr for expansion

Jammu, Mar 30: Revealing great expansion plans, the Surya Roshni Group is investing Rs 550 crore. The company in a statement said it will create 6000 new jobs in one year.
 The group’s projected turnover (Lighting & Steel) ending March 2010 would be approx Rs 2000 crores.
 Surya is one of the largest lighting company in India having highest volume of sales in many of the States of India with more than 25 per cent all India market share.  
 The Group has achieved yet another milestone as a part of its ongoing expansion plans by launching its most modern & latest state-of-the-art new manufacturing facilities at Kashipur, it said.
 Out of its Rs 550 crores investment plans, Rs 100 crores has been invested in this plant to manufacture T5 Lamps,  CFL, FTL, PCB, HID and PVC Pipes, it said.
 These plants have been equipped with the most advanced machinery which has been imported from Japan, U.S., Theysohn of Austria & other countries from reputed world class manufacturers. The tube lights manufactured at the plant will be of the best quality and will save 85 per cent electricity.
