Couple dies under mysterious circumstances at Airforce campus

Srinagar, Mar 4: The Humhama police has found bodies of a Haryana couple from their residence at Airforce campus on the City outskirts filing a case of death under mysterious circumstances.
 “Two charred bodies of Mukesh Kumar son of Ishwar Dass and his wife Nisha residents of Biwani Haryana were found in the kitchen of their quarter C-79 Air Force campus falling under the jurisdiction of police post Humhama,” a police handout said.
 “Both the deceased were working in Kendra Vidyala 2nd Air Force Srinagar as teacher,” it added.
 When contacted the in-charge PP Humhama, Mir Imtiaz confirmed the proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated in this regard. 
 To a question on the cause of death, he said nothing could be said as the autopsy report was awaited.
 Police said on Wednesday the couple didn’t reach their school in time following  which the school authorities tried to contact them on phone but nobody responded.
 “On this, some staffers were sent to their residence where nobody opened the door. As the door was broke open, the charred bodies were found in the kitchen and the police was informed,” said an official.
