The petition was presented the Center’s Managing Director Zeeshan Pandith to teach children to appreciate the beauty of natural environment and especially Kashmir’s famed Dal Lake.
“We got over 7000 signatures of children of various schools and submitted them in shape of a petition to the Chief Minister. Infact the CM also signed on the petition,” Pandith said.
“If you believe strongly in the urgent need to preserve Dal Lake and save it from further degradation, then, please sign this petition,” the petition reads.
“We want the children of the state to lead an active and healthy lifestyle and render support to UN campaign for Education for Sustainable Development” Pandith said.
