Paediatric, interventional cardiology workshop concludes

Srinagar, Mar 8: The workshop on Paediatric and Interventional Cardiology organized by Department of Cardiology, SK Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura has concluded, the hospital spokesman Monday said.
“The program included for the first time case presentations of Congenital and acquired heart disease with discussions with the invited faculty including Dr Radhakrishnan and Prof U Kaul,” the handout said.
“During the workshop, seven patients were benefited by way of interventional treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease,” it added.
Prof Khurshid Iqbal, Head of the Speciality and program coordinator said he was satisfied with outcome of the academic activity.
He said such activities would continue on regular basis as they “help in updating the knowledge and skills in this fast changing field.”
Prof Abdul Hamid Zargar, Director SKIMS reiterated his commitment to continuing medical education and encouragement and logistic support to such activities.
