De-mined land handed over to villagers

Jammu, May 10: Army today handed over 653 acres de-mined land to local people here during a ceremony under `Crossed Swords Division’, a defence spokesman said.
The Brigade commander, according the spokesman expressed his appreciation for the work done for de-mining of the area and added that the army would continue to under take people friendly project and live up to the expectations of people.
On the occasion, army also organized a volleyball match as well as a demonstration of the modern equipment which had been utilized for de-mining, the spokesman added.
