1-day workshop on NPIs held

Srinagar, May 13: A one-day training workshop for conducting Study/Survey on non-profit institutions (NPIs) in J&K was organised today by Directorate of Economics & Statistics in Conference Hall of the Directorate. The workshop was held in collaboration with the Central Statistical Organisation, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Government of India. The Workshop was attended by the District Statistical & Evaluation officers (DSEO's) of all the districts of the State, their concerned field investigators and concerned officials of the Directorate. The training regarding the subject was imparted to the trainee officers/ officials by Dr Savita Sharma, Deputy Director General, and Naresh Kumar, Consultant, Central Statistical Organisation, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation,. The workshop was inaugurated by G. A. Qureshi, Director General (E&S) J&K. Regional Joint Director (Kashmir) and a host of other high ranking officers of the Organisation were also present on the occasion.
