SKUAST-J to hold workshop for basmati growers

Jammu, May 13: SK University Agriculture Science Technology-Jammu is going to organize one day workshop for basmati growers on May 20 next at varsity main campus Chatha
 The programme has been sponsored by the Basmati Export Development Foundation (New Delhi).
 According to an official hand out, the workshop will comprise series of lectures on modern techniques of basmati cultivation, information about the availability of new high yielding varieties of basmati for export purpose and safe plant protection measures to control diseases and insect pests and export perspective of basmati from Jammu.
 A ‘Kissan Gosthi’ will also be organized at the end to address various queries raised by basmati growers.
