Farooq, Vohra grieved

New Delhi: The Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah paid rich tributes to former Vice-President Shekhawat.
Recalling the "great services" rendered by Shekhawat to the nation for decades, Dr Abdullah said the 87-year-old BJP leader was a "gentle person" and had friends across the political spectrum.
"He had rendered great service to the nation for decades as Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vice-President of India and in other capacities," Dr Farooq said.
GK adds from Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Governor, N N Vohra, expressed profound grief over the demise of the former Vice President of India, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today.
In a condolence message, the Governor recalled his long association with Shekhawat and his deep understanding of national issues, particularly matters relating to national security management.
