HPL celebrates its performance in JK

Srinagar, May 16: India’s largest manufacturer of high power factor CFL, the HPL organized a dealers-cum-retailers’ meet at a local hotel here to celebrate its “remarkable performance in J&K.”
Speaking on the occasion D. V. Mehta, Vice President, HPL, (North) for Sales and Marketing said the HPL had made good base in J&K on the basis of overwhelming response “we have got here.”
“We have developed very fast here and have achieved the maximum market share in the Valley.”
“In J&K we received a prestigious Rs 26 crores order for supply of meters. 70 to 80 per cent consumer-level meters installed here are from HPL,” he added.
Established in 1956 by the name of Havells Pvt Ltd, the company is known for its high quality and latest technology electrical products.
“Presently we are dealing with the products ranges in Metering, Switchgear, protection, lighting and wires and cables. We have achieved a very good position in the country and have 70 branches across the India.”
“We also have around 1000 dealers and 25000 retailers working for us,” said D.V. Mehta.
The company is working in joint venture with some of the leading companies in the world to bring the best quality and best technology to the country. “Ours is the first company to introduce quality switchgear in India. We have the largest market share in switchgear industry in the country,” he said.
According to Mehta the company has shown tremendous growth in the previous three years even when other companies were suffering because of the recession.
“Our company is holding the third place in metering development in India and is among the 10 top most companies in metering development in the world.” he added.
The company later launched its new lighting products which included Metal Halide Lamps and other commercial luminaries.
They had also introduced sport booking on the occasion.The function was also attended by various traders, dealers and retailers.
