JKTDC launches Wazwaan restaurant at Heemal

Srinagar, May 18: The J&K Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) has launched an exclusive Wazwaan restaurant in hotel Heemal at tourist hub Boulevard, here.
Officials said to begin with the restaurant will be initially hosting parties only and the individuals could relish the traditional dishes after a week.
They said the restaurant was launched on long-standing demand of the locals and tourists operators.
Pertinently the restaurant can accommodate 50 persons. Besides the hotel has a spacious lobby to host big functions.
“Tourists faced difficulty in getting Wazwaan on the tourist hub. We took the initiative and launched the exclusive Wazwaan restaurant. We will ensure to provide best quality food to customers at affordable rates,” said Jehangir Ahmad, the manager of Hotel Heemal.
However he said the restaurant will open for individuals after a week.
“Presently we are only receiving orders for parties and functions in the restaurant. We need at least a week to brace up for serving the individual orders,” he said.
He said the multi-storeyed hotel comprising of 70 rooms has been upgraded with latest facilities.
“The hotel has round-the-clock lift and power back-up facilities. Prominent tour operators have started to send us groups and we hope to have record bookings this year,” he said.
