Srinagar, May 1: The State Government has framed rules to regulate the functioning and performance of private tuition centers across Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman said on Saturday.
He said, the tuition centers run by an individual, society, trust or a body of persons shall have to seek prior permission from the government or the competent authority (Director School Education). All such tuition centers would come under purview of monitoring by the government.
The permission shall be restricted in two shifts, one shift half an hour before the working hours and another shift half an hour after the working hours of the schools.
All private tuition centers shall have to maintain an admission register of the candidates, maintain the record of the tuition fee in proper accounting books, shall have to notify and display the monthly tuition fee subject and class-wise fifteen days before the start of the tuition courses, the spokesman added.
The tuition centers shall also have to display the detailed particulars of its faculty members, including their qualification and experience. All tuition centers shall have to reserve 10 per cent of total intake in each class/course for destitute, orphans, the students belonging to the families living Below Poverty Line.
Moreover, all the tuition centers shall have to provide the necessary infrastructure and facilities under rules. All the tuition centers shall have to provide the faculty with prescribed qualification under rules in order to ensure quality teaching at these centers.
