Civil Defence Srinagar holds emergency meet

Srinagar, May 19: A 100 trained Civil Defence volunteers in Srinagar district have been asked to remain in readiness to meet any emergency and assist the district administration as well as the Irrigation & Flood Control department in case of a flood situation, an official handout Wednesday said.
It said the decision was taken at a meeting hosted by Regional Civil Defence Control Room Srinagar Wednesday while the people have been asked to contact 2452295, 2484838 in case of the emergency.
Those who attended the meet include GA Bhat Dy. Controller, Omar Nedou, Chief Warden, Mauzzam Bakshi Dy Chief Warden, Aamir Ali Head Disaster Management Kashmir, Khazir Muhammad Divisional Warden, Rahi Riyaz Dy Divisional Warden, Gazanfar Ali Divisional Warden, Fayaz Ahmed SI and Shabir Ahmed I/c Stores.
