Gear up admin: Mehbooba to Govt
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 19: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday urged the government to gear up the administration to neutralize the adverse impact of the heavy rainfall in the Valley.
“Many areas in the Srinagar city and other towns are inundated.
The civic authorities should be mobilized to drain out the accumulated rain water,” Mehbooba said in a statement here.
She said the irrigation facilities in many rural areas had been damaged and flood had created havoc in many villages. “The damaged canals should be desilted and repaired on war footing to save the coming farming season,” she added.
