Seeks relief to flood sufferers
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 20: Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti has said the present government had landed the state into a crises of governance.
Addressing the card holders convention of Rajpora constituency in Pulwama, Mehbooba said people have now understood the value of good governance in the context of the welcome change that the coalition led by Mufti Muhammad Sayeed had brought about in the state. She said this realization is a positive gain and hoped that in future the people would use their vote with more discretion and would not allow themselves to be influenced by hollow slogans and emotionalism.
Mehbooba said the political scenario in the state had undergone sea change with the emergence of PDP as a strong political force. She said no body can take the people for a ride now and any one trying to do so would have to face stiff opposition.
She said the recent rains had exposed once again the inability of the government to deal with day to day problems. She said the government was yet to respond to the grave situation the incessant rain and hailstorm had caused in many areas
