Rs 182 cr advanced in Varmul

Srinagar, May 20: Banks have advanced Rs 182.70 crore to small-scale industrial and agriculture-related units in Varmul in the previous financial year, an official statement here said.
While Rs 106.50 crore was provided to the agricultural sector, the small industries and service sectors got Rs 22.59 crore and Rs 53.61 crore respectively, it said.
The statement said the government wanted better cooperation and cohesion between sponsoring agencies and banks to minimise unemployment and achieve the goal of development.
