Footpaths encroached in B’pora

Bandipore, May 21: The people are facing inconvenience while moving through the congested market here as shopkeepers and roadside vendors have occupied the footpaths.
 People have accused the administration of acting as mute spectator. “It is impossible to walk through the market as footpaths have been encroached,” the locals said.
 Pertinently few months ago the Tehsil Magistrate had removed some of the encroachments in the market, but in the absence of a sustained campaign, the vendors have again occupied the road.
 When contacted the Executive Officer, Abdul Rashid Shah said, “we have initiated an anti encroachment drive and soon they will be removed.”
