Furnish monthly statements about pending cases: Sagar

Srinagar, May 21: The Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Ali Muhammad Sagar today asked the government counsels to furnish monthly statements about pending cases to Law Department for its timely replies.
Addressing a review meeting here, Sagar asked the counsels to project the viewpoint of government so that litigations could be decided judiciously. He asked them to send judgments/orders to the Administrative Department within the period of limitation, so that it gets time to examine them and give legal opinion.
He asked the law officers to remain vigilant to avoid ex-party decisions and not to give opinion in any matter without the consultation of the Law Department and Advocate General.
He assured them that their demands regarding enhancement of remuneration and additional accommodation for the Advocate General’s office would also be considered.
