Zaffar highlights HR abuses

Srinagar: The JK Salvation Movement chairman, Zaffar Akbar Bhat today said that he apprised the Amnesty International team about growing rights violations, detention of pro-freedom leaders and activists and plight of the released youth.
“The troops were using indiscriminate force against civilians under the cover of draconian laws and the jail authorities were defying court orders for release of detainees,” the team was told, Zaffar said in a statement.
