’365 PICs organized in India’

Srinagar, May 26: The Press Information Bureau has so far organized 365 Public Information Campaigns throughout India since 2006 till date. Over hundred such PICs have been proposed during 2010-11 financial year, in different parts of the country. In J&K, PIB has so far organized 12 PICs while both the branch offices viz Srinagar and Jammu have proposed another five PICs to be organized in districts of Kupwara, Pulwama, Ramban and Sambha, including that of Islamabad. Such PICs have been launched in Kishtwar, Reasi, RS Pora, Leh, Budgam, Poonch, Udhampur, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Kargil, Bandipora and Kathua districts, in the State.
 This information was given by PIB officers T Jayaraj, Addl DG, Ghulam Abbas, Assistant Director and Tariq A. Rather, Media & Communication Officer, during a press meet organized at Achabal Town Hall, Islamabad, today.
