5 handicraft dealers booked

Srinagar, May 26: The enforcement squad of the Handicrafts department Wednesday booked five shopkeepers in the City for allegedly violating the J&K Tourist Trade Act and realized a fine of Rs 10,000.
In a statement, the Department said, on the directions of Director Me’raj-ud-Din Kenu, the squad visited various tourist areas and checked the quality of handicraft items being sold to the tourists. The Director has asked the shopkeepers dealing with Handicrafts to sell quality goods to the visitors.
