Constitute docs team to examine Geelani: HC to Dir SKIMS

Srinagar, May 26: The High Court today directed the Director SK Institute of Medical Science Soura, to constitute a team of three doctors for examining Geelani, who has been placed under house arrest since May 23. The Director has been asked to submit report by May 28.
 As per the directions the doctors would comprise Nephrologist, Physician and a Cardiologist who would examine Geelani at his residence.
 The Court of Justice Hasnain Masoodi also directed the Police to file statement of facts on May 28 in response to the contempt petition filed by Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani against his unlawful detention.
 Court directed the DGP, IGP, SSP Budgam and in charge police officer Humhama to file the response.
 Earlier, Geelani had moved a petition seeking contempt proceedings against police for ‘violating the Court orders.”
