Mufti visits Sopur
CONDOLES KHAN’S DEATH
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 26: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed visited Sopur, 50 kms north of Srinagar, on Wednesday to express solidarity with the family members of the Traders Federation President Ghulam Nabi Khan, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen earlier this week.
Condoling Khan’s death, Mufti recalled his service to the society and especially the people of Sopur town. “I share the sense of loss of the town and am deeply shocked by the tragedy that has befallen Khan’s wife and his three children,” a PDP handout quoted Mufti as saying.
Praying for the peace to departed soul, Mufti said that Khan had left a deep imprint through his selfless service to humanity and development of the area.
Pertinently, gunmen had fired upon Khan from a close range on Sunday near main Sopur Chowk when he was on way to his Ice-cream factory.
