Kursu, Padshahi Bagh sans patronage!
GK NEWS NETWORK
I would like to draw kind attention of government towards the problems faced by the dwellers of Kursu, Padshahi Bagh areas. The problem, which tops the list is of erratic power. This problem, our area has been facing since past winter.
Our area is just 4 Kms from Civil Secretariat & close to City centre. Yet it remains in the dark for hours together.
I consider to share this quandary with government particularly the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah when we are racing ahead with the time where modern information technologies & communication has taken a stride. I am sure that except the power problem, we do not lack behind the technological tools that our state has presently, be it internet communication, travel technology. But unfortunately power disruption puts us behind in our day to day working, particularly in the private sector, where our dependency is now totally on Electricity, communication & Internet technology.
I felt the necessity of giving the comparison of the power position our area during the past years and the position during the present government: (Read Table)
In addition to the power problem, we also have to face the worst condition of our main roads & Mehjoor Bridge, which is full of potholes and broken tarmac, making it difficult for the locals to walk & move around. If the authorities would make some minor repairs in the bridge declared unsafe for the past over a decade, the connect could be of respite for thousands of people who could travel that way to reach other areas including the highway.
In view of the above facts, I request the government to kindly look into the power problem & the bad roads that we face.
