Namath colony seeks upgradation
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 27: The residents of Azad Colony Soura (Namath) on the City outskirts have appealed the authorities to get the areas lanes, by-lanes and electric transmission lines repaired at an earliest.
The residents said the dilapidated lanes put them to inconvenience throughout the year.
“During rains streets remain inundated in knee-deep waters while on a dry days billows of dust emanate making the movement difficult,” the locals complained.
“Pedestrians especially children and aged find it inconvenient to venture out of their homes,” they added.
Besides, the locals said the power transmission network is not well maintained.
“The poles have slanted and there is every possibility that the lines may collapse,” the locals feared.
The residents appealed the concerned MLA to grant some money out of his constituency development funds for the upgradation of the area.
