Army murders civilians for rewards: JKLF
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 29: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front on Saturday accused Army of being involved “in genocide of Kashmiris to get medals and rewards.”
Addressing a public gathering Nadihal in Varmul, senior JKLF leader Showkat Ahmad Bakshi described “murder” of three youth in fake encounter at Machil as “state sponsored terrorism.”
He described the zero tolerance slogans of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as mere slogans. “Army has given a licence to kill civilians in Jammu and Kashmir,” Bakshi said.
He said the incident was not the first of its kind. “Such incidents have taken place from time to time in the past many years,” Bakshi said.
He alleged the laws have been framed to protect the killers. “There are hundreds of unmarked graves in Kashmir. Recently a 70 year old beggar was dubbed as a militant. But he proved to be a civilian,” Bakshi said.
