GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 3: J&K Bank Monday shifted its Extension Counter at Lower Munda, Qazigund to newly built premises nearby.
In a statement, J&K Bank Zonal Head (South Kashmir) inaugurated the premises equipped with state-of-the-art facilities amid a notable gathering of local elders and other senior citizens.
Zonal Head (South) Bashir Ahmad Lone said, “J&K Bank is committed to provide the people of far flung areas with world class banking and other financial services.” The up gradation of the Extension Counter, in terms of technology, was just an evidence of it, he added.
He also assured that the Bank would install an ATM facility in the area within this month.
People of the area have appreciated the role of Bank, under the leadership of Dr Haseeb A Drabu, in supporting the local economies of the state. They also made an on-spot demand of up-grading the Lower Munda EC into a full-fledged branch. Cluster Head of the bank, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din, who was also present on the occasion, spoke about various schemes of the bank.
