Karan Nagar residents hail police action
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 4: A day after the police started a drive against wrong parking in Karan Nagar area, the locals hailed the move terming it “need of the hour”.
A delegation of locals from the area said they were facing inconvenience in moving out of their homes as scores of vehicles remain parked on the colony roads.
“Karan Nagar was amongst the best residential colonies in Srinagar but mushrooming of illegal commercial complexes and subsequent wrong parking has made it look like a fish market,” the locals said.
They appealed the SSP City and the SP Traffic to intensify the drive against wrong parking.
Just yesterday, during a police drive, the traders had resented the move terming it high handedness of police.
Pertinently, the wrong parking at times, hinders the smooth movement of ambulances to the SMHS hospital adjacent to the area.
