Micky for Minority Commission in JK

New Delhi, May 6: The Deputy Chairman, Legislative Council, S Arvinder Singh Micky has called for setting up of Minority Commission and implementation of the recommendations of Sarkaria Commission in the state.
Speaking at Minority Conference here yesterday, Micky highlighted the problems faced by J&K in implementation of 15-point programme of Prime Minister for minorities.
He said the minorities had suffered during militancy and demanded for covering of more minority students under scholarship scheme. He also stressed that Sarkaria Commission recommendations be implemented at an earliest.
Micky also meet UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and briefed her about the working of the state Government.
