Sham awards 41 employees

‘Nursing Act, drug policy soon’

Jammu, May 6: The Health Minister, Sham Lal Sharma today awarded 41 employees in recognition to their performance during the year 2009-10.
 The award was given to Doctors, Assistant Drug Controllers, Pharmacists, Nurses, Drivers, Safai Karamcharies, FMPHWs, Nursing Orderlies, ministerial staff and ASHA workers of Jammu.
 Besides, District Hospitals, Udhampur, Rajouri, Community Health Centre, Akhnoor, Public Health Centre, Manjakote, Allopathic Dispensary Badi Khad and Health Sub-Centre, Thandi Choi were also adjudged best performing institutions  and were given certificates of excellence.
 The awards will be given to the outstanding employees of Health Department every year after assessing their performance.
 Sham said the state would soon have its new Nursing Act and Drug Policy soon. “Incentives of NRHM doctors and ASHA workers has been doubled, amendments in the Rules have been made to remove stagnation of doctors and other categories of employees which were long pending issues.”
