Dr Faktoo’s demise condoled

Varmul, May 8: People from different walks of life today visited the Kanli Bagh residence of former Deputy Director Health Services, Dr Abdul Qayoom Faktoo, who passed away on Friday at the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura, after brief illness. He was the brother-in-law of former District Judge, Nazir Ahmad Kakroo, and Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Me’raj Ahmad Kakroo.
The visitors include the former Member Parliament, Abdul Rashid Shaheen, several embers of legislature, the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Showkat Ahmad, the Deputy Commissioner, Varmul, Bashir Ahmad, several senior government officials and members of social and religious organizations.
The fourth day ceremony of late Dr Faktoo will be held on Monday at his Varmul residence.
GK adds from Srinagar: The Chairman, Kashmir Society, Khwaja Farooq Ahmad Renzu, and Secretary, Mohammad Rafi Khan, has condoled the demise of Dr Faktoo and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family, and the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Me’raj Ahmad Kakroo.
Several Srinagar-based social organizations have also condoled the demise of Dr Faktoo.
At a condolence meeting chaired by its general secretary, Imdad Saqi, the Valley Citizen’s Council expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
Azad Zargar Memorial Foundation has also condoled the demise.
