Observe shutdown today: Geelani
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Nov 10: The Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani has reiterated conglomerate’s shutdown call for Thursday and urged people to make it a success.
Geelani said in view of Eid-ul-Azha, he expected government to release all the detainees including pro-freedom leaders. “However the arrest spree is on in the Valley and ground situation continues to be grim,” he said.
Geelani said the continuous detention of pro-freedom leaders had rendered the appointment of interlocutors meaningless.
He expressed serious concern over the continuous detention of Hurriyat senior leader Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai.
