Adding credibility

I believe the civil society awareness for Kashmiri Pandits is beginning to dawn slowly in the Valley, and Greater Kashmir should be commended for taking the lead. A number of commentaries written by M/S Saraf, Razdan, Bharati, and others have been published by the paper recently. On November 12 Mr. Aima's well articulated commentary has been published. By allowing contrary viewpoints, the newspaper is not only adding credibility to its reputation, but also making the majority community in the Valley think about Pandits as more than either simpletons ignorant of their own plight and suffering, or radicals determined to burn bridges of amity and goodwill. But will the Muslim majority advocate/create political and economic space to allow Pandits a decent chance of survival in the valley? That question still begs for an answer.
