Holistic approach needed for better traffic mgmt: Tara Chand
Jammu, Nov 12: Stressing the need to have holistic approach for effective traffic management in Jammu city, Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand said coordinated efforts of concerned departments were required to address the problem of traffic congestion in the winter capital.
He said an innovative approach needs to be adopted for decongesting city roads by synchronizing efforts of those involved in traffic management.
Chairing a meeting on traffic management, he said both long and short terms measures were needed to check the growing traffic.
Tara directed the JMC to clear footpaths from illegal encroachment and identify sites for construction of over head bridges at various locations.
