Interlocutors again
This refers to the second visit of the interlocutors to Kashmir. Talking to cross section of the society in J&K would give them a fair idea about the problems that people are facing. But I think that should not be their mandate. They must stick to the resolution of the Kashmir issue for which they will have to talk to the Hurriyat Conference and other pro-freedom parties. Separatists can’t be ignored when it comes to Kashmir. This has been acknowledged by the many Indian leaders and also the mainstream leaders in J&K, including the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. At the same time, there is a vital external factor to Kashmir which is Pakistan. Pakistan has to be involved. The Central government must engage Pakistan in a serious dialogue process. Let the interlocutors not go off the track. Let them focus on the specific problem of Kashmir.
