2 militants killed near LoC: Army

GK NEWS NETWORK

Jammu, Nov 14: Army on Sunday claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid by killing two militants near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu’s Poonch district.
“Troops spotted some movement along the LoC between Annand post and Gaian post in Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar tehsil during the wee hours,” an army official said adding that on a close observation it was realized that a group of armed militants was trying to sneak into this side.
“The troops of 5 Martha light Infantry Regiment posted in the area swung into action and engaged the militants. In the ensuing gunfight, which continued for nearly an hour, two militants were killed,” the official added.
