Ahead of Eid, Govt releases 14 detainees
Srinagar, Nov 15: The Public Safety Act (PSA) review committee which met here today under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Home, B R Sharma decided to revoke the PSA in case of 14 detenues who were arrested during the past few months, an official spokesman said.
The released detenues were: Bashir Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Muhammad Sheikh of Zainakoot Srinagar, Ishsfaq Ahmad Bhat son of Muhammad Ramzan Bhat of Guripora Khushki Rainawari, Srinagar, Ghulam Hassan War son of Abdul Samad War of Tiploo Mohalla Anchar, Manzoor Ahmad Tiploo son of Ghulam Nabi Tiploo of Anchar, Srinagar, Bashir Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Khaliq of Muqam Shah Wali, Kupwara, Muhammad Younis Bhat son of Haji Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Beerwah, Budgam, Ghulam Muhammad Bhat son of Mehda Bhat of Ichgam,Budgam, Arif Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir of Soibugh, Budgam, Showkat Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Gani Malik of Check Mohalla Soibugh,Budgam, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, son of late Muhammad Subhan Bhat of Kremshorea Khan-Sahib, Budgam, Asif Ali Qazi son of Ali Muhammad Qazi of Gojwara, Ghulam Hassan Wagay son of Abdul Wahab Wagay of Nandimarg,Kulgam, Muhammad Ashraf Khan son of Ghulam Muhammad of Tangpawa, Achabal Anantnag and Javid Ahmad Pathan son of late Muhammad Shafi of Reshi Bazar Islamabad (Anantnag).
