5 held with 10 kg cannabis

Jammu, Nov 1: Police on Monday said that it arrested five persons from Jammu and Udhampur districts and recovered 10 kgs of cannabis from their possession.
  On specific information, Kamalnain Singh of Chatisinghpura and Manjeet Singh of Hatpura - both from Islamabad (Anantnag) district  and an auto driver Naresh Kumar were arrested from Jammu city, police said.
 They had brought 6 kgs of cannabis in two taxis from the Valley and handed it over to the auto driver at Trikuta Nagar, police said, adding, 6 kgs of the narcotic drug was recovered from them.
 The two taxis and an auto were also seized and a case was registered under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, police said, adding, further investigation were going on.
 In another incident, two persons, identified as Mukesh Kumar and Ramsaran of Thathri area of Doda district, were arrested and 4 kgs of cannabis recovered from them at the Jammu-Srinagar highway
