EDB reaches out to rural masses

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Nov 1: The Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB) today reopened its two branches at Kanilvan and Marhama (Sangam) in Islamabad (Anantnag). Chairman A K Razdan in a statement today said the opening of these branches will help in accomplishment of the national programme in bringing the unbanked areas into the fold of financial inclusion and will be a step forward in reaching to poor and needy.  He said the bank is committed to provide hassle free credit to rural masses especially to farmers’ community.  Razdan said the bank has a mission to be the most preferred rural institutional financial service provider.
He called upon the people to make extensive use of the banking services provided by it.
He said the Bank has been catering to the needs of the under-privileged classes of the society with thrust on the rural economy.  “At the same time, the urban clientele of the Bank has been the focus for branches operating in the urban areas of the state,” he said.
