2 HURT IN MISHAPS
Srinagar, Nov 19: Two persons were injured in road accidents in the Valley.
A motorcyclist was wounded when his vehicle (JK13-5360) was hit by a Sumo (JK03D-5952) at Halmulla Sangam in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir, police said adding the wounded had been identified as Rafiq Ahmad Parray son of Habibullah of Chursoo Awantipora.
A vehicle (JK01L-9584) hit and injured Abdul Rehman Ganaie son of Ghulam Rasool of Ganapora at Ganapora Kralgund, Handwara.
MAN KILLED ON EID
Bashir Ahmad Malik, 55, was killed when an alleged over speeding car (JKO1K-4462) hit him at Mochua Channapora area here on Wednesday.
According to his family,Bashir Ahmad had left home for offering Eid prayers when the incident happened.
“Instead of helping the victim, the driver of the car fled away the spot,” the witness said adding a biker chased the vehicle and succeeded in seeing the registration number of the car. The police arrested the driver Javaid Ahmad Pandit.
