Police-public meet at Kangan
Srinagar: A police-public meet was organized at Kangan on Saturday which was presided over by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer.
Many people participated in the meet held in the lawns of Police Post Gund, a police communiqué said.
SDPO urged the elders of the locality to help in bridging the gap between the police and the public. He said the prime objective of the police organization was to ensure enforcement of law and to safeguard the lives and property of public.
The people assured to give fullest cooperation in maintaining the peace and tranquility in the area, the communiqué added.
Some people put forth their demands and the SDPO assured them of highlighting these demands with the concerned departments for their redressal.
Some of the demands pertaining to police were fulfilled on the spot.
