‘Soz misquoted’
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Nov 21: Congress on Sunday denied that the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee had contradicted Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s statement on naxalites.
“Prof Soz was misquoted by a section of the press. He had merely said that since he had no knowledge of the subject, he could neither say Naxalites were connected with militants nor that they were not connected. He (Prof Soz) had categorically stated that he had no knowledge on the subject,” a JKPCC spokesman said in a statement.
He said that Prof Soz had also told the media persons that clarification if needed could be provided by the Chief Minister who had better knowledge about the subject.
