JAK RIF remembers war martyrs

Jammu, Nov 21: J&K Rifles regiment celebrated its reunion and remembered war martyrs at a function in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district today, a defence spokesman said here.
Northern Command chief, Lt Gen B S Jaswal garlanded the statues of martyrs at the JAK RIF memorial during the event which is held after every four years where retired officers and other ranks of the regiment get to interact with the present lot, he said. The first reunion was held in Jammu in 1968.
The reunion parade was conducted at the Hunza Parade Ground in Jabalpur which was reviewed by Lt Gen Jaswal -- the Colonel of the Regiment and GOC-in-C, Northern Army.
An official dinner of all veteran and serving officers was also conducted.
