Corp posts `21 cr profit in 2009-10

Srinagar, Nov 22: The J&K Project Construction Corporation has posted a whopping `21.56 crores profit in 2009-10, which is `2.66 crore up in comparison to the profits the corporation made a year before.
 This was revealed by the Managing Director, JKPCC at the 85th meeting of the Board of Directors of JKPCC chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
 The MD JKPCC said that the profit of the Corporation has increased from `2.05 crores in 2007-08 to `21.56 crores in 2009-10 while it was `18.90 crore in 2008-09. He said the turnover of the State also increased from `200.07 crore in 2007-08 to `307.85 crores in 2010 while it was `274.39 crores in 2008-09. The MD said that presently 432 schemes of various dimensions were being executed by the JKPCC in the State involving an expenditure of over `3062.63 crores.
