Govt revokes PSA against Shafi Reshi
Srinagar, Nov 23: The state government has revoked the Public Safety Act (PSA) against senior leader of Hurriyat Conference (G) and member of Kashmir High Court Bar Association, advocate Muhammad Shafi Reshi.
This was announced by the senior additional advocate general, Ali Muhammad Magray before the High Court here.
Meanwhile, the High Court reserved its verdict on the application by Fahmeeda Sofi, close aide of Dukhtaran-e-Millat. Sofi had challenged slapping of Public Safety Act against her.
The High Court also directed state government to file objections within two week in a plea moved by Ghulam Nabi Sumbji, senior member of Hurriyat Conference (G), challenging PSA against him by the administration. The court also listed case pertaining to the habeas corpus plea by Muhammad Yousuf Mir, another senior member of Hurriyat (G).
